The importance of positive thinking

February 28, 2011

Greetings, dear all. As someone who has been in the Quixtar, now Amway,  business, I know the importance of positive thinking. Napoleon Hill, in his book “How To Think And Grow Rich,” had a full page on demonstrating the importance of positive thinking by showcasing the life of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah (God) Almighty be upon him). As someone who has at least a little bit of knowledge about the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), I was taken aback, though very pleasantly, that Napoleon Hill, during the 1930′s and 1940′s era where Islam was not widespread in the USA, would illustrate the Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) life in a positive way. I was very glad to see it, to tell you the truth, and Napoleon Hill was absolutely right. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his disciples, or Companions, went through 13 years of horrible persecution and suffering at the hands of the idol-worshipping animist elite of Mecca during the years 610 to 622 C.E. However, the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his Companions never gave up their faith and always knew that everything is in the Hand of the Almighty Creator Himself. As a result of their faith, by the Grace of the Almighty, the religion of Islam can now be found in every country on earth, and it has over a billion followers.

The moral of the story: NEVER GIVE UP HOPE, and ALWAYS BE POSITIVE! The great teacher, or Shaiykh, Abdullah Adhami said: “In order for the outcome and the output from the tongue to be positive, the input into the heart and brain has to be positive.”

May The Lord God Almighty guide us to staying away from the negative and to inculcating only the positive forms of thinking into our lives. Ameen! God bless.
